Another weigh in!

So, I completely forgot yesterday was Friday and didn’t weigh in, so I weighed in this morning.

190.6!

I’ll take it!

Since I didn’t have a “Before”picture, the best I can do is a sometime before picture.  Lol Here’s a new picture from today that shows a comparison. I don’t think it looks like I’ve lost much weight in my pictures, but I am!  🙂

Official weigh in.

So last night it snowed, and we all know how I feel about snow. (and in case you forgot….. I HATE SNOW!) And I woke up this morning to a wire oasis of doom. Okay. I may be a little over dramatic, but not by much. I got a 5am wake up call from the school informing me of a 2 hour delay…. a whole hour before my alarm was set. A WHILE HOUR OF SLEEP I MISSED! I’m not bitter tho…..

Anyways! On to exciting news! I I have officially lost 30 pounds! I weighed in at 194.0 this morning. Woooohoooo!

Oh yeah! *dances around the room*

In other exciting news! We FINALLY have electric in or matter suite again. It went out quite some time ago and we couldn’t figure out why. One of our friends from church was an electrician before he joined the Maine Corps, so he came over to help us out. Basically, hr said we needed a new wire ran to or room, so that’s what he did!  I bought a new ceiling fan and he installed that too. I love it!

My next project will be my sons room. Since we live in a modular home, the walks are covered in a textured vinyl and I HATE it! Anything that draws my attention away from the “main attraction” drives me batty. The people that owned this house before us painted the walks dark colors and it makes the rooms look small and dreary. I have decided that all rooms will be painted a light color if yellow, blue, or green, excluding the kids rooms. My sons room will be grey with a purple stripe ruining around the wall, and my daughter keeps changing get mind. Latest is she wants hot pink and black, which I think she will hate once she gets it up so I’m trying for something else. Lol Each room will get a new ceiling fan like the one we poor up last night. They are very nice and budget friendly! 🙂

Okay, I guess that’s enough of my decorating talk. 😉 I hope everyone has a great weekend! I have a Scentsy party this weekend. I’ve never done one before because I have too many friends that sell it and don’t want to offend anyone, but my friend Nicole ripped me in by saying I could earn a free rooster warmer if I had a party! Lol If you need any Scentsy, let me know and I’ll give you her link so you can have it added to my party and shipped right to your door!

Shame or excitement?

So, I did my official weigh in today. 195.6 That’s 28.4 pounds.

I should be really happy about that, and I am! Don’t get me wrong! I’m super proud of my weight loss and I’m not trying to say that I’m ashamed of myself, but, I guess I’m just ashamed of how I look.

A big big BIG thing for me… I’m sharing a picture of myself. I’m just in my sports bra and a pair of PT shorts. It’s sort of embarrassing, but, I AM proud of my weight loss.

I don’t really know what to say! I know that I will continue to lose weight. I know that I will not be as “plump” the farther I go in my journey.   I really am putting myself out there, which is NOT like me at all. In the past, I’ve posted pictures of my scale, but NEVER of myself!

Now that I’ve exposed all my “fluffiness” to everyone, I guess there are no more secrets, eh? 😉

Friday weigh-in!

Ummmmmm….. I just want to say

WAAAAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

I’ve lost 3.6 pounds since last week! (And yes… #9 is my favorite Dr, followed closely by #10!)

I was so ecstatic when I stepped on the scale this morning! I wanted to shout it from the rooftop! First thing I did was text my sister, because she’s the one that really got me started doing Atkins in the first place. Next thing I did was go jump on my bed with my husband sleeping in it. He grumpily told me to knock it off to which I exclaimed “CAN’T I’M IN ONEDERLAND!” to which he replied “Alice?” and I laughed and ran off.

Hooray!!!!!!!

It’s cold, and I want to eat!

So, I weighed in this morning. I’m 203, which means I “gained” .4 pounds. I’m not worried about it. My pants are fitting better, I feel great. 🙂

So! Today, the high is 37, and it won’t be all that great the rest of next week either, minus Sunday, but it’s supposed to rain, so that doesn’t count.

weather

All I know is that it’s supposed to be 21 tonight. Um, no thank you! Where is my beach weather?! I KNOW it’s winter, but, I’m not used to this cold any more! This kind of weather is where I make a giant pot of chili with beans, make grilled cheese sandwiches with Velveeta cheese, and snuggle on the couch and watch movies with a nice fire in the fireplace. That just doesn’t work any more. I guess I COULD make chili with no beans, and just put real cheese and sour cream in my bowl and make grilled cheese for the fam.

I’m going to share my newly favorite “warm food” (which is what we call Chili!). It’s called Stroganoff Soup. It’s DELISH!! I borrowed this from Kyndra over at Peace, Love, Low Carb. I prepped everything in my cast iron skillet, then transferred it to my crock pot.

Stroganoff Soup

Ingrediets

  • 32 oz beef stock
  • 10 mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 Tbs garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbs butter (I used MUCH less, more like 1 Tbs)
  • 1 1/2 pound steak – sliced thin (I cut mine in about 1/4-1/2 inch thick slices)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbs beef bouillon granules
  • 2 Tbs Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbs Italian Flat Leaf Parsley, chopped (or about 1 Tbs dried)
  • 1 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt

Directions

  1. Heat slow cooker on high setting, add beef stock and mushrooms, cover.
  2. In a large Saute pan, over medium heat, saute the onions and garlic in butter, until translucent and soft. Add to slow cooker.
  3. Using the same pan, add the steak into the pan and sear it on both sides. About 1-2 minutes
  4. To the slow cooker, add steak, heavy cream, sour cream, beef bouillon granules, Dijon, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, and salt, then mix.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours.

12 1 cup servings with 4.5 net g of carbs!

It’s a GREAT way to gave something warm and delish on a cold night.

I hope you all are doing well, staying warm, and losing weight!

Monday I’m starting yoga, and possibly starting to work out with my Wii Fit Plus again! What changes are you making, if any, the beginning of this new year?

Took a little break!

I took my weight last week, and I was down to 203! Woohoo!

Since my daughter is home for Christmas break, I lost track of the days and forgot to weigh in today. Oops!!

We had a really nice small Christmas here at home. I made a turkey breast, some fauxtatoes, and green beans. We had gravy as well. I did have a little bit, but not much. I also made a pumpkin custard. THAT was my downfall. I ate almost the whole thing. :-/ I don’t think that I’ve gained any actual weight, but, I do think I need to cut down on the carbs a bit. 😉

I introduced my 10 year old to the movie Clueless yesterday and now she can’t stop watching it! I think I’ve created a monster. I do have to admit that I do sorta love the movie tho. I hope it doesn’t go to her head!

On the 1st, I’m going to start doing yoga and pilates. I’ve bookmarked several on youtube. I’ll be a beginner at both. I do have some Beachbody and Jillian Michaels workout DVDs, but, since I had knee surgery, it’s difficult to do most of them. Hopefully I will be able to get some muscles starting. 🙂
